It happens so quietly.
One day, your child asks to be carried for the last time, and neither of you realizes it.
The newborn who once fit perfectly in the crook of your arm suddenly races ahead on little feet. The house that once echoed with lullabies fills with laughter, conversations, and dreams of what's next. Seasons slip into one another so gently that we rarely notice them changing until they're already memories.
I've come to believe that life isn't made up of milestones alone.
It's made up of the moments in between.
The lingering hug before school. The way your partner reaches for your hand without thinking. The sleepy smile after a long day. The wind catching your child's hair as they run toward you. The quiet moments that don't ask to be noticed—but become the ones your heart returns to years later.
Those are the moments that first made me fall in love with photography.
It wasn't about creating perfect portraits. It was about preserving the feeling of a season before it quietly became the past. As the people I loved grew and changed, I realized how quickly the details I thought I'd always remember began to fade. Photography became my way of holding onto them—a way to return to a moment exactly as it felt.
That belief became the foundation of Still Between Photography.
The name comes from the moments I cherish most: the stillness between the milestones, the laughter between the poses, the quiet connections that often go unnoticed but tell the truest story. They're the moments that can't be staged because they're already happening. All they need is someone willing to see them.
